Survival is just the beginning!

Only a few years from now, alien spaceships swoop onto our planet and kidnap thousands of people. To repel further incursions, Earth’s nations assign their best military units to fight off the invaders and rescue the civilian victims.

Colonel Patrice Sullivan, a tough and ambitious member of the U.S. ground effort, is thrust into command after the aliens kill the appointed commander. By then, most of the task force has been destroyed, leaving Sullivan almost nothing to fight with. She hopes innovation will win the battle, but success may require more from her than she is prepared to give.

Beglash, the alien captain, is determined to complete his mission. If he cannot bring back thousands of humans for the murderous ritual practiced by his people, his own son will become a victim. He will do whatever it takes to succeed, even if it means his own death.

In this science fiction thriller, Sullivan and Beglash face off in a contest pitting ancient tradition against the value of life, obedience against innovation, and prejudice against acceptance and trust.

With its richly drawn characters and breathtaking action sequences, Fog of War is a must-read for fans of Robert Heinlein, Orson Scott Card, and John Scalzi. Pick up your copy today.

a good Sci FI read

I enjoyed reading this story. A strong female lead with good character development. I don’t normally leave reviews and am not sure what is expected - just that it was a joy to read from the very first page.

Really well-told story, great science in the fiction

The story is really well conceived and implemented: great tension and excitement (you don't want to stop reading), good character development in the main character. I ran across a few typos, but no real negatives in the story.

Ugh

The writing will make you cringe. This is a story in desperate need of an editor and a better understanding of science.

Interesting read, solid characters.

I am on the 3rd book of this series. The first book took a little time to get through, but the pace of the story line was well thought out and easy to follow. I like the mix of Sci-Fi and the development of the characters. Finished the 2nd book a couple of days ago. The author does a good job of explaining real life military thinking to solve seemingly hopeless situations. Also show how motivation and delegation of responsibility bring the character groups together as a team and work their way out of problems. Excellent read, good story lines that develop as the series moves forward. Really good for Sci-Fi fans that like science mixed with interesting characters.

Great read!

Very original plot, the character development and situations not like the movies. Felt true to how people would feel and react. Cant wait to read the next one!
